Overview

Welcome to the Shipment Portal for return to Australia from Chile! The primary consideration for this shipment is provision of a 1 to 4 month ride window for Aussie riders launched from Valparaiso end of January. Estimated timings for this shipment are:

Mon 01 Mar: final land border crossing to Chile must be after this date so that 3 month Temporary Import Permit (TIP) is still valid when bike is delivered to terminal depot. In Chile the TIP is called Título de Importación Temporal de Vehículos (TITV).
Mon 24 May: start of two week free storage period at terminal depot. Private storage arrangements available for riders who need to deliver their bikes before the free period.
Wed 02 Jun: last day to deliver bike to depot
Fri 04 Jun: container pack (can end up on Mon hence the assumed free storage period above)
Thu 10 Jun: ETD Valparaiso
36 days sea freight
Fri 16 Jul: ETA Melbourne
7 days destination time + 14 days schedule buffer
= 64 days total duration from container pack
